About

You know the saying, "You blink and they grow up"? The annual Black Hills Dads and Daughters Dance was created knowing thats true. So we are aiming to give dads, grandpas, uncles, and other male role models a special opportunity to cherish moments with their daughters, granddaughters, nieces, etc, of any age.  Events like this aren’t just about a night of fun; they help strengthen bonds, nurture families, and end up creating thriving communities. This public dance is open to any dads, grandpas, uncles, or adult male role models, along with their daughters, granddaughters, nieces, etc. Tickets for the adult male participants are $10.00 each, while daughters, nieces, granddaughters, etc attend for free. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The dance will be held at the Wilbur S. Tretheway Pavilion on Saturday, February 28th, with doors opening at 5:30 PM and the dance from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. (Address is: 115 S Canyon Street, Spearfish, SD 57783). There is no dress code, come as you are. This fundraiser benefits BHCA and is an evening designed to create memories that will last long after the music stops.

We’re excited to share that Connie Snow of C. Snow Imagery will be set up at the dance this year with a beautiful backdrop to capture photos. The photo cost is not included in the dance admission price but Connie has generously chosen to sponsor the dance by donating her time and talents, and has chosen to reduce the cost to photos starting at $20.00. A portion of the proceeds from each photo will be donated to BHCA. If you’d like to commemorate the night with a stunning photo of you and your daughter, granddaughter, or niece, you can pre-order your photo by visiting the Event Sponsor's page here. You’re also welcome to pay Connie directly at the dance.

Lastly, while winter may seem to be taking its time arriving in the Black Hills, there’s a rumor that the Ice Queen herself from Frozen 2 might be making a special appearance at the dance.
